Q: What's your favorite football team/player?

A: Favorite players are Adrian Peterson and Bret Favre

Q: What makes the Army-Navy game different than any other game?

A:The history behind it. Knowing that a lot of special people and players have fought in this rivalry game. Knowing that there are guys in combat zones that wish they could be on that same field with us and that there are guys that have died in combat zones that have been on that same field.

Q: What advice do you have for those who want to play college football?

A:Work hard...Work hard...and work harder than everyone else and then put the rest in God's hands.

Q: What are your hobbies outside of football?

A: I like to fish whenever I can.

Q: Outside of football, who do you admire most and why?

A: The Academy has taught me a lot of things, but one thing that stands above the rest is that life is about more than just you. It's about a selfless commitment to something higher than you. For me, that something is God and through football and the everyday struggle of life at the Academy, I have grown to admire the many unique ways He works his way into our lives in order to teach and guide us.

Q: Why did you choose to attend the Naval Academy?

A: I chose the Naval Academy, because I felt like it was a good fit for me. My personality has never led me away from a challenge, and so I felt like this would be the best way to see what I'm made of.

Q: What advice do you have for those who want to attend the Naval Academy?

A:Enjoy every bit of time you get to spend with your family and friends and try to help somebody if you can, because that's what you'll find life is about.

Q: What's your major?

A:History.

Q: What's been your favorite experience at the Academy?

A:The Brotherhood.

Q: What kind of music do you like?

A:Country: Dierks Bentley, Jason Michael Carroll, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker. Also listen to a lot of Christian jams: Jeremy Camp and Matt Mahar.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: Bojangles: 4-piece Chicken Supreme Dinner with fries and iced tea. And don't forget the honey mustard and barbeque sauce.

Q: What do you miss most about your hometown?

A: My boys back home that I played high school ball with, I know a lot of them, wish they could be in my shoes and strap it up again with me.

Q: What are your plans after graduation?

A:Be a Marine Infantry officer and then hopefully do something with my life for the good of everyone else.

Q: Would you like to thank anyone for getting you where you are today?

A: My mom, Mary, and my dad, Joe, they don't even know how much they helped me through Plebe year. My brother, Jeff, he's everything a brother is supposed to be and taught me how to play the game, and more importantly, he gave me a great role model growing up to try and be like. My grandparents, both of them proudly served their country and both in their own unique ways allowed me to see from a young age what true leaders are. My high school coach, Greg Thomas, he gave me an opportunity as a freshman to experience success which gave me the fire to win that I have today. Coach also taught me to be tough, how to work and what it takes to win and succeed. My girlfriend, Kristin Winbourne, we've been together for over four years and she's stuck with me through all the challenges of a military and long distance relationship and was the support I needed whenever I needed it. She's my sense of humor when I need it and my fire ball when I need that too. She's awesome.
