Q: What makes the Army-Navy game different than any other game?
A: It's like two brothers going to war. We have the ultimate love and respect for each other because we know what we are going to be called upon to do after graduation, but for that hour of playing time on the gridiron, it's war and we just want to win and be the tougher brother.
Q: What advice do you have for those who want to play college football?
A:Hard work pays off. If you put in the extra time to get to the next level, you will get there. Always push yourself on the field to stand out and never back down from anyone on any team.
Q: What are your pre-game rituals?
A: I have a few songs I always listen to before every game, and while listening to those songs, I find myself someplace quiet where I can be alone to clear my head and prepare myself.
Q: What are your hobbies outside of football?
A: I love doing all extreme sports and going wakeboarding, cliff diving, riding 4-wheelers, paintballing, playing basketball, and just doing something crazy.
Q: Outside of football, who do you admire most and why?
A: I'll always admire my dad. My dad is my hero because he taught me so much and he especially taught me how to work and I get my high work rate from him. He is the hardest worker I know and I hope to work as hard as him every day.
Q: Why did you choose to attend the Naval Academy?
A: I chose the Naval Academy because I always wanted to be a part of the brotherhood here. I want the satisfaction of going here knowing that not just anyone can do it and that only the best get through. I'm taking the path less traveled by going here.
Q: What advice do you have for those who want to attend the Naval Academy?
A:Be ready to work but if you're willing to work it pays off in the end. Don't quit because you decide your fate here. It's not an easy path but it's a path worth taking.
Q: What's been your favorite experience at the Academy?
A:The unity that is here. The brotherhood. The friendships you make that never fail.
Q: What kind of music do you like?
A: I'll listen to anything, but my favorite music is country and pop rock. My favorite band is Nickelback ,and I enjoy just about every country singer.
Q: What is your favorite food?
American BBQ.
Q: What do you miss most about your hometown?
A: Being on my own time schedule. And I miss just knowing where everything is and being familiar with the city and cities nearby. The freedom.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?
A: No real plans set in stone yet, because it will all come down to what I want to do for the Navy and what I major in, and I don't know either of those right now.
Q: Would you like to thank anyone for getting you where you are today?
A: My mom and dad especially because they raised me right and taught my true values in life and the important factors in life. Also my grandparents from both my parents' sides because they had their fair share in helping raise me too, and they always helped me. All my coaches as well from every sport I played, because not only did they help me become a better athlete and player, but they too taught me important values in life. Especially my little league football coach, Kevin Brady, because he inspired me to be the best I could be at whatever it was.
